Photos: Drunk man rams into convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai

The convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, was involved in an accident in Kaduna state last night.

A statement from the Army says the official staff car had an accident at Jere town on the way to Kaduna. A man who was under the influence of alcohol, veered off his lane and rammed into the staff car.

The COAS was not in the car. However, the ADC sustained minor injuries and has been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The driver of the car that rammed into the convoy of the Army chief is presently receiving medical attention at a Nigerian Army Medical facility. The Army says the case has been reported to Police and Investigation has commenced. Initial findings showed driver was under the influence of alcohol.
